Product review – Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make-up Compact
For the past week and a half I have been in Paris and Berlin. I had a suitcase full of clothes, jewels, books, laptop etc. So I tried really hard to only take exactly what I needed, travel sized products, a capsule wardrobe and only a few nail polishes. Even my make up I kept simple. Instead of packing foundation and powder, I opted for just a powder foundation, rather than separates. I have been using Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make-up Compact for the past two weeks now and I am really impressed. I was worried the palest shade ‘Porcelain’ wouldn’t be light enough for my skin tone, but it actually was fine.
When I wear foundation I like it to have a Matt finish, so I always use powder afterwards. With this product, I didn’t have to.
To apply this powder, you brush it on in circular motions, until it gives the desired effect. You can control the amount you use and therefore the coverage and finish it gives you, which I really like. I was surprised it made an impact on my dark circles, only a small impact, but an impact non the less. It also covered other blemishes really well.
I love the shade and the fact you can control coverage. I found a few dabs in the compact and a few circular sweeps gave the coverage and effect I wanted, but if you wanted more you could just keep going.
It’s more comfortable at the end of a long day than foundation and I never feel like I looked caked like foundation and powder can.
I’m really impressed with this product, it’s so easily to apply and blended really well with my skin tone. It looks natural and gives a great Matt finish. I was really impressed at the coverage it gave to blemishes, while feeling light on my skin!
You can only buy this product at Marks and Spencer’s if you are within the UK, but I think it is sold in America too on their website.

Oooh definitely have to give this a try!
Loving that brush too. M&S are starting to bring some great makeup products to their shelves. They even stock Roger & Gallet soap now, fab indeed.
I’ve always been afraid of a powder foundation but since you give it the seal of approval, I may have to try. I just ran out of my foundation yesterday…may be time for a new regime. And Paris and Berlin…sounds brutal!
They definitely sell this in the States, in NY it’s in some local drug stores, but I think also at places like Ulta. It is really good, and pretty good for your skin since it’s minerals. They also have trial kits you can buy if you just want to see if you like it, though I’m not sure whether they sell that in the UK.
Relief! I think you can buy this almost anywhere by now. Woohoo! Okay I need a huge favour….. if you feel so inclined I’d love to see a post on what you actually packed in your suitcase…. That would be so fantastic.
I was actually just looking into trying this product, so now I’m doubly convinced!
